These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

I saw water flowing out from beneath the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the façade of the temple was toward the east; the water flowed down from the right side of the temple, south of the altar. (Ez 47:1-9, 12)

The church has always seen the water flowing from the temple as a sign of the baptismal waters. As we prepare to renew our baptismal promises at Easter together with all the newly baptized, let us touch that water again and ask the Lord to grant healing to this broken world and to lead us in the way of peace. Saint Patrick reminds us that we were baptized in the name of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. https://youtu.be/6IbSGCvSTsE?si=mqBXnyipVdqVdaMb
