These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

Jesus went up the mountain and summoned those whom he wanted  and they came to him. He appointed Twelve, that they might be with him and he might send them forth to preach  and to have authority to drive out demons: He appointed the Twelve: Simon, whom he named Peter;  James, son of Zebedee,  and John the brother of James, whom he named Boanerges, that is, sons of thunder; Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus;  Thaddeus, Simon the Cananean, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him. (Mk 3:13-19)

The choosing of the Twelve, the Lord chooses us that we might be with him, and of course, he sends us out to preach and to heal. https://youtu.be/XrHmgGJrMI8?si=CnOflKD3hWj6q12Q
