That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called 'Lord' the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive." (Lk 20:27-40)

I always remember Saint Cecilia’s Day as the day that President John Kennedy was assassinated. I was in 8th grade math class when the principal made the announcement. I remember the reaction of my classmates. They all stood up and cheered. I remained in my desk and prayed. The power of racism and hate is strong in my home state of Alabama, but it is no match for God’s power and love that embraces everyone. https://youtu.be/-pzUSq97ooM?si=Bb-m0MjCVCH7pPQX
These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.
