I am not ashamed of the Gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek. (Rom 1:16-25)

Paul’s Letter to the Romans is written to introduce himself to the community. One of the concerns of the letter is the relationship between the Jewish and Gentile members of the fledgling Christian community of Rome. Paul insists on the universality of salvation (salvation is for everyone who believes) and that both Jews and Gentiles are a part of God’s plan. Today's photo is of Pope Leo blessing the Church of Rome with the Book of the Gospels. Today's music is a gospel album in Spanish. https://youtu.be/3lKxQyBGxbA?si=ytD6_UofZmw6FM38
These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.
