These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

And to another he said, "Follow me." (Lk 9:57-62)

The Lord calls each of us. The call is personal. The Lord tells us: Follow me. Some accept. Others make excuses. Still others say yes, but someimes we have doubts. The Lord is very patient and never stops calling us. Saint Thérèse (1873-1894) accepted the Lord’s invitation when she was very young. She was only 15 when she entered the Carmelite convent in Lisieux, France. She said she wanted to be a little flower in God’s garden. Through her “little way” Saint Thérèse has made it possible for many to reach holiness. As she said, “My way is all trust and love.” https://youtu.be/XEZZCdrLKBs?si=mzJ8W_W2GkvTO9Zv
