These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 18)
R/. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and he heard my voice.
In my distress I called upon the LORD and cried out to my God; From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
R/. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and he heard my voice.

Today’s photo is of the Holy Week schedule from my local parish, Nuestra Señora de las Lomas (Our Lady of the Hills), located next door to where I live. The pastor, Father Rubén Darío Ospina, is the only priest assigned to the parish. If I were not here, he would be celebrating all the services and Masses by himself. It is a joy to be able to help out. Here is a link to Holy Week celebrations in Colombia: https://medellinguru.com/semana-santa/. All of you will be in my Holy Week Masses and prayers. In addition to the Holy Week schedule, a typical Colombian parish will have as many as 5 processions, some have more.
