These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.

NORMA TORP BOYD, Feb 22, 1927-Aug 28, 1996

Today would have been my mom’s 94th birthday. To everyone she was the “Night Nurse.” We were the best of buds. She made me the person I became. She taught me how to care for others. Thanks to her, I’m a priest today.

Hoy habría sido el cumpleaños número 94 de mi madre. Para todos, ella era la "Enfermera Nocturna". Éramos los mejores amigos. Ella me convirtió en la persona en la que me convertí. Ella me enseñó a cuidar a los demás. Gracias a ella, hoy soy sacerdote.
