As they traveled along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look, there is water. What is to prevent my being baptized?" The question the eunuch asks is the central question of the Acts of the Apostles. “What is to prevent my being baptized?” The answer of course is the Law of God says that people like him can never be a member of the People of God. It is the same question about the Gentiles. The early church answers the question that everyone is welcome. These reflections are a result of more than 40 years of ministry as a Roman Catholic priest. Most of these years I spent in the Diocese of Charlotte which covers Western North Carolina. Now I am retired, and live in Medellín, Colombia where I continue to serve as a priest in the Archdiocese of Medellín.
